GW: Novella Series 2 Coming To Spice Up The Worlds of Warhammer
Black Library is bringing another novella series to shelves later this year – check out the titles that are on the way!
Last year, Black Library had a novella series that came out for a limited time in paperback. They are still currently available in digital format if you wanted to pick those up today. And if you couldn’t tell from the title – Black Library is doing it again this year with the next batch of Novellas.
Last November, the first-ever Black Library Novella Series hit shelves worldwide, bringing you ten tales from the worlds of Warhammer in bite-sized chunks (and handy paperbacks). Great news – they’re returning this November for a second collectable series, featuring ten more awesome stories.
This year’s novellas cover Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Necromunda – plus a Warhammer Horror story by none other than Graham McNeill!
Here’s a quick rundown of each of the covers:
Iron Resolve by Steve Lyons
Wreck and Ruin by Danie Ware
Isha’s Lament by Thomas Parrott
Severed by Nate Crowley
Lords of the Storm by Edoardo Albert
Code of the Skies by Graeme Lyon
The Measure of Iron by Jamie Crisalli
Thieves’ Paradise by Nick Horth
Low Lives by Denny Flowers
The Colonel’s Monograph by Graham McNeill
Personally, I’m curious to pick up Graham McNeill’s The Colonel’s Monograph to see what horrors he can cook-up. On top of that, all of these novellas look to add some great stuff in their respective corners of the Warhammer Universe. It’s going to be interesting to see the fiction of the Kharadron Overlords get explored. Plus we’re getting a tale about the Iron Golem warriors with The Measure of Iron. Seems like GW will be striking while the iron is hot with the release of that novella.
The Grimdark 40k universe is also getting some light shed on some of the more eclectic regions of the lore that doesn’t get explored often. Severed takes a look at the “life” of Necron Vargard Obyron – from the perspective of the Necrons! That’s going to be a fun twist for sure. And Isha’s Lament dives into the unknown of the Blackstone Fortress – what dark powers await for the Explorers?
Novella Series 2 will premier in November so if you’re looking from some shorter reads in the meantime check out Series 1 now available!
Graham McNeill does horror? I’d like to check that out…
