The Adventure Zone Is Getting Its Own RPG
Proving that there’s no medium that is beyond the reach of the McElroy family, the Adventure Zone is getting a tabletop RPG designed by Twogethers studios.
Is it possible that you haven’t listened to the Adventure Zone before? Have you not gone on the journey of 4 nerds who played D&D so hard they cried? If you haven’t my friend, pull up a chair and about two weeks, because have I got a podcast for you. But for those of you who understand why “there’s magic in a bard’s song,” there’s some incredible news. The Adventure Zone is getting its own TTRPG, designed by Twogether studios, aka Keith Baker and Jenn Ellis, who have collectively brought you, Illimat, Phoenix Dawn Command, and Eberron.
We're making The Adventure Zone tabletop game with @McElroyFamily and we're over the moon gosh darn excited. #thezonecast #taz https://t.co/m5rkbWRFnX

The announcement went out early yesterday, and is building quite a bit of excitement. There aren’t too many details yet, aside from the fact that it’ll be based on their podcast and bestselling graphic novels. So. Presumably it’s very Balance arc focused. But let’s dig in more and see what there is to see.
We’re excited to share that we’re developing a tabletop game with The McElroys based on their popular podcast and NYT #1 selling graphic novels, The Adventure Zone. The game is still in development, so we’re staying hush on details for now so join our mailing list (below) and follow us on twitter or instagram so you don’t miss out on our pre-order announcement in the late fall!
Keith and I are avid listeners of the McElroy’s podcasts. We’ve been listening to The Adventure Zone since we went on our seven week Illimat road trip in our Vanagon and we’ve been hooked since. Like you, I braid my hair and do casual Jess the Beheader cosplay on the reg.
Will you be at Gen Con? We want to meet TAZ fans! We made these free badge banners to give away at our booth, Twogether Studios #2650. Maybe they have something to do with the game? Maybe they just look cool? Either way they are free, shiny, and in limited supply. Limit one per person – unless you have a TAZ tattoo or are in TAZ cosplay because commitment should be rewarded.
If you’re wondering why you should be excited about this, this studio is doing some amazing work in the RPG world right now. And from the sound of things, they’re going to give you the tools to sit around your table and do… this:
