Warlord Games Takes on Ground and Air Combat in Korea
Warlord Games published a ton of news this past week about numerous lines of their games. Today, we are going to focus in on Bolt Action and Blood Red Skies. The big news is that Warlord Games is taking both products into the Korean War era.
For those that don’t know, Blood Red Skies is a World War 2 airplane game using 1/200th scale miniatures. It uses a flight advantage system that somewhat abstracts the dog-fighting rules in a way that I like better than X-Wing.
Bolt Action, on the other hand is an extremely popular World War 2 gaming system. I feel that it could be compared in someways to Warhammer in that they share some similar concepts. This is a 28mm game.
Please note that all of the pictures in this post are from Warlord Games.
Bolt Action: Korea
The Korean War took place from 1950 to 1953. Check out these preview pictures released by Warlord Games of their upcoming products. They are scheduled to release in August.
Looks to be some interesting stuff coming in for Bolt Action. I am a little surprised that Warlord is taking the ruleset outside of the WW2 realm, but it makes sense to me. Hopefully the products do well. I honestly wish they took this approach with Konflikt ’47 too.
MiG Alley
MiG Alley is Warlord Games’ Korean War version of Blood Red Skies. It is also up for pre-order aiming for an August release date. Again, this art is from Warlord Games’ Website.
Both releases look pretty cool. It’s been a while, but I gave Blood Red Skies some attention earlier at the local gaming shop and it is a fun system.
Wrapping it up…
With so much excitement coming from Warlord Games, I had to share some of it. They also have a brand new skirmish game for Roman times called SPQR and new deals and starter sets for their Black Powder game. If you haven’t checked out Warlord Games lately, go back and give them a look!
Thanks for reading and until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!

Again, aside from writing great gaming related articles, I am also working on compiling a list of all Miniature Gaming Conventions in Ontario (Canada). If you are in Ontario, this list should be of interest to you!
