40K BREAKING: New Marine Rules & Psychic Awakening
Now we know exactly what new faction rules the new Space Marines will get – and something BIG is stirring in the Warp…
We have two things going on here.
Space Marine Special Rules
First is the reveal of exactly what’s up with those dueling special rules we have seen on Space Marine datasheets of late. GW says Astartes are getting a new special rule that combines:
- And They Shall Know No Fear
- Bolter Discipline
- Shock Assault
Everyone Gets Special Rules!
It’s only only the codex Space Marine units who get Shock Assault, but also:
- Grey Knights
- Deathwatch
- CSMs (all of them, Death Guard, Thousand Sons, etc…)
Psychic Awakening
Next up is this final teaser from GW. Apparently there is a galaxy spanning event (coming this fall) that will have an effect on EVERY faction in the game. Take a look:
We’ll have to wait and see, but I’d wager this is is an expansion adding 40k-style Eternal Spells to the game. It’s been a monster hit over on the Age of Sigmar side of things and we all know GW loves to give us all new things to buy. I say take a look at the Malign Sorcery expansion for inspiration.
