Come get a look at the Ork ‘Eavy Bommer’s glorious new Aeronautic Imperialis mini, and get ready to blow up just everything.

The Rynn’s World Air War book details the forces of the Imperials and the Orks, featuring the beloved ‘Eavy Bommer which has more dakka–not enough dakka, mind you, there never is–but it has more than most. And now its new mini has been revealed, along with a few other details worth noting. Let’s take a look.

And the mini looks pretty amazing.

Here’s everything else we know about them so far.

These enormous aircraft are the end result of size-obsessed Ork flyboyz trying to outdo each other, making Dakkajets look like mere playthings. Aeronautica Imperialis gives us the chance to explore corners of the far future that have only been hinted at before. You’ll be able to add this Eavy Bommer to your Air Waaagh! in November.

The Old Ork heavy bommers from the first edition of Aeronautica feature in Rynn’s World:

Meet the Ork Eavy Bommer and the Grot Bommer. The first is looded down with munitions, while the second can load up with crazed Grot Rockets looking to go out in a blaze of glory. Sure the little guys might have parachutes, but then again, maybe the Orks just gave them backpacks loaded with junk, and a firm thumbs up.

Here’s one of the two to give you an idea of what’s on the way:

She’s a tough stubborn sky pig. Tougher, slower and harder to handle than a Marauder, the Eavy Bommer does have some Orky charm.  She’s got a LOT of big shoota dice in every direction, leaving no blind spots and no obvious way to safely approach for an interceptor. If you get close enough to shoot at her, expect a wall of dakka to be headed back your way. With a max altitude of 4, she’s got less options than the Marauder, but the Orks bommer command probably just flies these birds up close, low and slow, and straight for their targets. It’s going to take some time to down even one of these, and several in a close formation is a nasty proposition for any fighter to face.

Models?

We have no images of the new models or sprues, but here’s some artwork and pics of the original ones from a decade back. Based on the detail and modular construction options of the new Ork plastic planes – this should be an impressive kit loaded down with many many teensy little bits and ways to assemble your Eavy Bommers.
