The Beastgrave Opens Next Week – New Underworlds Expansion Arrives
Next week from GW: the Beastgrave comes to Warhammer Underworlds with new warbands, new mechanics, and of course, new tokens.
The Beastgrave awakens next week, leaving many to wonder how a grave can sleep in the first place. Some speculate that anything is possible in the trapped confines of the Mirrored City. Others say that the grave is an embodiment of the spirits within and it is they doing the waking. And yet more claim it’s merely the title of GW’s upcoming Shadespire Underworlds expansion and you probably shouldn’t read too much into it because it’s just, like, Beastmen or something okay?
But we don’t talk about those narrow-minded fools who lack vision. We will, however, talk about the new expansion, which, coincidentally enough, DOES feature a horned, bestial face on the cover.

Here’s the Beastgrave Core Set, which is everything you need to get started in Underworlds, especially with the new season’s mechanics. You’ll find all the usual suspects in the box: new boards, tokens, dice, cards, two new warbands, l the full, updated new rules, and Keyser Soze.
The new warbands, Grashrak’s Despoilers and Skaeth’s Wild Hunt, have already been teased a plenty, but you can expect all manner of custom, themed accessories, like dice, alongside this release.
Other accessories include a new carrying case, deck box, playmat, and most exciting, a while new set of Ghurish scenery, designed to evoke the Realm of Beasts.
And while it’s designed for Underworlds play, this terrain plays well in any world of Warhammer. Tell me that big skull doesn’t look at home on the wasted fields of Vigilus as it does in the ruins of the Mortal Realms.
All this comes out next week, with a slew of new rules previews, so stay tuned for a closer look at how the game works, but in the meantime, let’s find out:
What do you think is buried in the Beastgrave?
