The Iron Hands and Raven Guard are both getting some pretty great relics – come take a look at what’s going to be available for both!

Coming this weekend are the two new Codex Supplements for the Iron Hands and the Raven Guard – and we’ve got our hands on them. Today, we’re taking a closer look at their chapter specific relics and what they are going to be able to do for your characters of note!

Iron Hands Relics

The Iron Hands have some solid options but we think you’re probably going to end up seeing The Tempered Helm quite a bit thanks to the Command Point Refund it provides. Heck, if you spend the CP to buy the extra Relic Stratagem just to get the Tempered Helm and it works one time, it basically pays for itself! Other than that, if you want a more aggressive option, the Axe of Medusa is pretty nice. Almost as beefy as a Power Fist with none of the drawbacks. And finally, The Gorgon’s Chain might not be quite as complex as it used to be, but it does make your characters a lot harder to drop – with a 4++ and -1 to be wounded vs shooting, that’s nothing to sneeze at!

Raven Guard Relics

The Raven Guard actually has some of the best “armor” upgrades in terms of Relics in the game. The Armour of Shadows treats all AP -1 weapons as AP 0 to start. Plus, unmodified hit rolls of 1, 2, or 3 always fail when attacking the bearer of this relic! Raven’s Fury is another great upgrade option for Jump Packs because it allows you to charge after advancing, plus you get a re-roll to charge. On top of that, after a charge you can do a mortal wound to an enemy unit within 1″ on a 4+. Pair this with the Warlord Trait Shadow Master and ignore their overwatch shooting, too!

One last Relic that I wanted to call out was the Oppressor’s End. This is the combat knife of Riever’s dreams. Oh…if only they had at least an -1 blade. At least those Phobos Wearing Marines can opt for this relic now!

Both the Iron Hands and the Raven Guard ALSO have access to special issue wargear – which is another page worth of “generic” relics PLUS another unique relic they can use. So you’ve got lots of options!
