Warhammer AoS: Gotrek Is Back, Accompanied By A Warcry Release
Next week from GW: a slayer so legendary that not even the end of a world could kill him. Gotrek’s Alive! And up for pre-order next weekend.
As far as warriors in the world-that-was go, none is more legendary than Gotrek. The only warrior to have killed things so hard, even the void couldn’t kill him…through the Age of Chaos and well into the Age of Sigmar, Gotrek has been missing…until now. Well, next weekend, anyway. And alongside our favorite Brian Blessed-voiced dwarf, comes a beastly release for Warcry.

Gotrek’s alive! Last seen fighting seemingly insurmountable odds at the northern polar warp gate in the world-that-was, he’s now in the Mortal Realms, and looking for new things to slay… or die trying.
You can see that Gotrek is getting fully kitted out, Age of Sigmar style with the legendary axe Zangrom-Thraz and standing atop a pile of broken bodies. Those skaven might just be how he survived the end of the world-that-was.
And then alongside this glorious display, you’ll also be able to get your hands on the first expansion for Warcry: Monsters & Mercenaries.
Monsters & Mercenaries brings a whole host of new rules to the skirmish game. Your warbands can go on epic quests to claim glory and honour, or they can challenge some of the most dangerous creatures in the Mortal Realms to battle. How will your warriors deal with a War Hydra or Terrorgheist?
But if you do manage to defeat a beast like this, you’ll be able to bind it to your will and add it to your Warband Roster. Including beasts like the newly repacked Chimera, which comes bundled with all of the rules cards you’ll need to use it in your Warcry Warband.
Of course, a new expansion means new terrain, and GW has you covered with the new Defiled Ruins kit, which is a brand new piece that is also compatible with the Warcry Starter Set terrain to give you the ruined chaos fight zone of your dreams.
But wait there’s more, because you’ll also be able to just grab a box of chaos beasts, giving you Furies and Raptoryx flocks to add to your warband–or fight against–in your games.
All of this is due out next week!
