Geekery: ‘Black Adam’ Release Date and First Poster Revealed
Black Adam has floated in and out of DC Extended Universe news for a few years – we now have a release date and a first look at the costume design of main character.
The project is being helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra (The Commuter, The Shallows). The December 22nd date is the weekend after James Cameron’s unnamed Avatar sequel releases, which comes out on the 17th. It’s a bold choice. Not sure how much audience overlap there will be, or if Avatar will be able to recapture its initial box office power.
Here’s the first look at Dwayne Johnson as the anti-hero and Shazam’s main nemesis. Given the character’s place in the DC universe we will probably be getting an Zachary Levi vs Dwayne Johnson movie at some point.
