I have not read the books or played the games, but I know the novels are beloved and the games are bestsellers so there’s a good story and lore to work with. From that perspective it looks like another fantasy show with action, intrigue, and magic; and that Netflix is hoping to have a Game of Thrones replacement on their hands. It’s kind of, well… blah. I’m sure folks who have been following Sapkowski’s (who was a consultant on the show) stories for years will have different viewpoints on it.
Though I think we can generally agree on one thing: the wig is still bad.
