GW Rumor Engine: Scrap Pilliar
Looks like something has made some “enhancements” to the architecture of a the room in the latest Games Workshop Rumor Engine.
What’s got spikes, chains and skulls? This week’s Rumor Engine of course! Check it out:
Another Astropathic Choir has burnt itself out to bring you this image from The Rumour Engine. Don’t let their sacrifice be in vain, take a look at this mystery picture from the future and see if you can decipher what it is.
There sure is a lot going on in this picture. It has elements of a few different armies and it really could go in lots of different directions. My gut says Ork or Orruk first off. Just based off of the bolted-on bent metal.
But it also hints at Ogors, too as they use similar scraps to “enhance” their weapons:
And it’s got skulls on it, but that really doesn’t help narrow it down at all, does it? It could also be something from 40k and again, Orks would be a good fit. My only issue is you don’t typically see Orks using stone or wood in their “construction” methods. So I’m leaning towards the Destruction aesthetic of AoS more than anything else. You know, Games Workshop did tease that something “giant” was on the way…

And what next, then, for Warhammer Age of Sigmar?
There are some HUGE (some might say giant) plans for the Mortal Realms… More news soon. For now, we have to keep it hysh-hysh.
Perhaps they were being quite literal and a new Giant is on the way. I could totally see a Gargant swinging a broken column with spikes and chains strapped to it around. It fits the scrap look of Destruction and Gargants are large enough to wield a pillar – so ya, that’s my guess.
So what do you think? Are we getting a giant new tease? Or is this something else entirely? I’m leaving this one up to you internet detectives! Let us know your best guesses in the comments below!
