Warhammer 40K BREAKING: Chapter Approved And Blood Of Baal Next Week
Coming out just in time to catch the tail end of 2019, it’s Chapter Approved–only this time it’s split into two books, alongside Blood of Baal
Chapter Approved is upon us once more, crammed full of updates and points changes and new rules to try–only there was no fancy trailer announcing it, just the quiet turning of days into weeks into months as time carries out its terrible dance. Now, however, Chapter Approved has been split into two books. There’s still the same familiar Chapter Approved that we all know and love, as well as a new book called the Munitorum Field Manual which contains your updated posts. Let’s take a look.

Whatever Warhammer 40,000 army you play, you’ll want to get a copy of this year’s Chapter Approved – the essential annual update for all gamers in the 41st Millennium. This year, we’ve separated Chapter Approved into two bundled books for your convenience.
Try new missions and ways to play with Chapter Approved 2019 itself, then build your matched play lists with the Munitorum Field Manual – a reference guide with points for everything currently in Warhammer 40,000. The Field Manual doesn’t just contain updated points, but unchanged ones too, meaning you’ll only have to look in once place when writing your lists!
This is an interesting choice for Chapter Approved. Likely the Munitorum Field Manual is the one folks are going to be most interested in–but we’re curious, how often do you use the missions and play modes introduced in Chapter Approved at your table? Let us know in the comments.
Chapter Approved isn’t the only thing coming out next week though. You’ll also be able to Pre-Order the Blood of Baal, which brings a new swath of rules and powers and stratagems to the Tyranids and the Blood Angels. And there is a lot here
In addition to new and updated datasheets for your favorite Blood Angels units (giving them more rules) you’ll find new Vanguard units, stratagems psychic powers, and Blood Angels Litanies. The Flesh Tearers are also getting their own supplemental section in the book, making your assaulty marines even assaultier.
The thing we’re most excited about are the teased changes for Tyranids. A new system called Adaptive Physiology is there to represent the information gathered by the Tyranids as their great swarm devours the galaxy. Some of the examples shown so far include putting Synapse on a Carnifex or Tyranid Warriors with some kind of camouflaged. We’ll doubtless see more of that soon, so keep an eye out for it.
In the meantime, there’s a whole lot coming out next week.
