Games Workshop is showing off some of the new rules from Faith & Fury along with the Table of Contents – things are going old school!

Faith & Fury is the next big supplement coming to Warhammer 40,000 and it’s going to have around 60 pages of just rules! Space Marines (especially Black Templars) and the Chaos Space Marines are all getting some new toys to play with. Let’s take a look at some of the cool new stuff GW is previewing.

As you can see, it’s a LOT of new stuff. Notice the new entries under Adeptus Astartes? Masters/Chiefs of their respective job role? Well those are about to make a comeback thanks to a new set of stratagems coming for the Space Marines:

You’ll soon be able to spend Command Points before the battle to promote a ChaplainTechmarineLibrarianApothecary, Company Ancient and Company Champion to the highest-ranking members of their order in the Chapter. A Chaplain can be upgraded to a Master of Sanctity, which effectively doubles their output of Litanies of Battle!

This is just one example so you know the rest of them are going to get some pretty nice boosts. The Chief Librarian is going to get access to a new warlord trait that will allow them to harness the powers of multiple disciplines:

Furthermore, it wouldn’t be a new book without more Relics, right? Well check out The Endurant Protector:

+1 Toughness and a 4+ save for your Master of the Forge? That could be a nice boost to a certain subset of Space Marine. Now I’m curious if these rules are going to be applicable to all Space Marines (and they probably are).

Heresy Abounds

Warlord traits, stratagems, and artifacts are also coming for all 6 of the chaos legions listed. And it doesn’t stop there. GW might reached into the archives to bring back different the different ranks for the Space Marines, but they aren’t the only ones getting access to some oldies but goodies. Daemon Weapons are making a comeback, too:

That doesn’t sound good! Why would you take that?” So just an fyi, this is just one part of the rule. These weapons DO provide a benefit – they don’t JUST slap you on a 1 when you attempt to fight with them. The Khorne Daemon Weapon for example seems pretty mean:

For starters, this weapon has a -5 AP. That’s just bonkers. Secondly, looking at the ability part of the weapon you can see that it’s going to grant a big strength boost to the attacks. I’m going to be very curious to see what OTHER daemon weapons do across the board.

What other tricks will the Chaos Marines get? Check back all week long as GW will be showing off even more previews from Faith & Fury!
