Age of Sigmar: New December FAQ Update Is Live
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar has just received a large update to many of the armies in the Mortal Realms. The December Update is live!
Well that didn’t take long. We reported yesterday that GW was hinting at some points changes coming – but wasn’t all they were up to. Those point changes are in and so are some tweaks to a few other armies that weren’t listed.
This year’s Christmas update aims to address some of the questions that we have gathered since the release of the General’s Handbook 2019. Among the updated designer’s commentaries and errata files, you will find changes to Pitched Battle Profiles, warscrolls and allegiance abilities.
All of these changes have been designed to bring all of the armies in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, across the system, in line with each other. What this means, in effect, is a little bop on the nose for some overachievers but, more plentifully, lots of points drops and improvements for almost all factions in Warhammer Age of Sigmar!
One of the armies that got changed without being mentioned in the points changes was the Hedonites of Slaanesh. We noted yesterday that they were mysteriously absent from the points changes. However, GW had some other tweaks in store for them with the biggest changes being their Depravity Points Table getting about a 50% increase across the board and their Locus getting adjusted:
I don’t think the non-Hedonites players out there are going to be shedding any tears for Slaanesh’s “bop on the nose” with these changes. The army didn’t change points wise but this makes your Keeper of Secrets recursion a little less reliable and your Locus of Destruction tamer.
Other notable changes are that the Maggotkin got a tweak so their Blighted Weapons trigger on Unmodified 6s to hit on top of points adjustments. Fyreslayer’s Hearthguard Berzerkers went from a unit cap of 30 down to 20 – but the points adjusted accordingly. Also Battleline Behemoth Restrictions were also lifted across the game!
And many, many more little tweaks. If you’re playing Age of Sigmar you definitely want to pop over to the FAQ page and check your army out. You might have just gotten a chunk of points freed-up for an Endless Spell or Command Point!
