Warcry: Tome of Champions 2019 Overview
What’s in the Warcry Tome of Champions 2019? Come take a look inside the covers with us!
Warcry fans, this is the book for you. Get ready to have all the “extra” rule you might have missed out from this year with the new Warcry Tome of Champions:
So Much More On The Way
Between the covers of this book Warcry Players are going to get access to a ton of extra rules, quests, campaign goodness, and a whole lot more. It’s got even more fun rules for Open, Narrative, and Matched play. Things like Multiplayer Battles, Escalation League guidelines, and a TON of new background tables for warbands that don’t even had rules yet.
Yep, you read that right. This book has both background tables and Campaign Quests for the following Warbands:
- Slaves to Darkness
- Ossiarch Bonereapers
- Ogor Mawtribes
- Kharadron Overlords
- Disciples of Tzeentch
- Skaven
- Stormcast Eternal Warrior Chamber
- Beasts of Chaos
- Fyreslayers
- Sylvaneth
- Stormcast Eternal Sacrosanct Chamber
- Blades of Khorne
- Maggotkin of Nurgle
- Hedonites of Slaanesh
- Seraphon
Strangely, while they do have both background tables and Campaign Quests, we didn’t see any warband points. While this was a little disappointing, we did fine the Warband Points for all the armies that had the limited edition decks. So if you missed out on those they are all collected in one spot now for your easy use.
From the looks of things, it’s certainly seems like this is a pretty BIG hint that those warbands are going to either get a new supplement or cards in the very near future. So keep an eye out for those. In the meantime, you can pick up this book and battle to your heart’s content with a slew of new challenge missions and Fated Quests – if you’re brave enough to answer the call.
This book also has a collection of Matched Play scenarios for the more competitive minded. It also has rules for running your own Escalation League. This book, regardless of it’s strange flaw, is still worth checking out and if you’re invested into Warcry it’s certainly worth picking up. It’s out and in stores this weekend!
