Warhammer 40K Rumors: January 2020 Releases
The holidays are upon us, so let’s talk about the latest from the rumormill has about what’s coming after the new year.
What a banner year we’ve seen from GW. While we saw the limited splash release of the Sororitas army set in November, it looks like we should prepare for the big show to hit after the New Year.
Here’s the latest:
Industry professionals say:
- Look for the full Sisters release in January, all the minis, and codex, accessories.
- Necromunda is getting Releases
- Look for heavy terrain bundles for 40k, Necromunda, and other systems.
Thoughts
OK, right off the bat, I think sisters will take up 2-3 weeks. This is a full codex reboot so we have the following products to get through:
- Codex
- Limited Release Codex
- Battle Sisters/Combo Kit
- Canoness
- Retributors/Combo Kit
- Exorcist/Immolator
- Sisters Rhino
- Penetint Engine/Mortifier
- Repentia
- Seraphim/Zephyrim
- St. Katherine
- Junith Eruita
- Dialogus
- Hospitaller
- Imagifier
- Various Repacks (Crusaders, Celestine)
Now add in the various terrain kits, and some releases for the side games. Age of Sigmar isn’t in there specifically, but there are those giant Death themed terrain kits popping up on the Bonereapers pics. Hmmm. Last but not least, don’t forget about the 3 announced volumes of Psychic Awakening. One of those could very easily drop in January. This seems like a general analog to the release of Custodes in January 2018 to kick off the year strong, but with a lot more SKUs.
It’s going to be a very, very busy kickoff to the 2020!
