Geekery: Suburbia Gets Sinister in the First ‘Vivarium’ Trailer
Jessi Eisenberg and Imogen Poots play a couple that wanted to buy a house but end up trapped in an endless loop of identical streets with identical green houses with identical manicured lawns. It gets weirder from there.

Vivarium made a decent splash at last year’s Fantastic Fest and Cannes Film Festival, and it’s gotten good reviews from the festival circuit. I’m not sure if it’s a theater movie for me, but I’ll definitely seek it out when it hits streaming. It looks like a good mix of dark humor, social commentary, and horror – a combo that I dig a lot.
Vivarium hits theaters on March 27.
