Fantasy Flight Games: Organized Play Suspended Until June 1st
Fantasy Flight Games is postponing Organized Play events until June 1st due to COVID-19.
Another game manufacturer is pausing their Organized Play events for public safety. Here’s the word from Fantasy Flight Games:
Every year, we at FFG look forward to hosting amazing tournaments and Organized Play events all around the world. However, in light of COVID-19 and the cancellation of public events, we are evaluating the best course of action for FFG OP moving forwards.
We care deeply about our events, but we care even more for the health and safety of our community. As such, we are following the government’s recommendations regarding the spread of COVID-19 and suspending all Organized Play activity through June 1st. We hope that you all stay safe and look after each other in these unprecedented times. Please stay tuned to our website, social media channels, and our retailer newsletter for updates as we provide them.
While this is unfortunate, it’s completely understandable. There is one silver lining from the announcement – they are saying postponed instead of cancelled. It’s unclear if or when these events will be able to reschedule but FFG is working on a new calendar for 2020.
If you were hoping to play at one of these Organized Play events, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. In the meantime, stay safe and wash your hands.
Can it be summer already?
