Come and take a look at what awaits the Titan Legions in The Defence of Ryza. Check out new legion rules and special wargear.

The Defence of Ryza is the next expansion for Adeptus Titanicus. And players will soon be able to embroil themselves in the desperate struggle to try and defend the world of Ryza against an assault by the Dark Mechanicum, who are hoping to seize Ryza’s seccrets to potent plasma weaponry for their own good.

Four new Legions step up to the plate in this book, Legios Osedax and Honorum for the loyalists, and for the traitors, Legios Magna and Vulturum, coupled with a reprint of the rules for Legio Crucius and Legio Mortis from before. All of these factions have their own traits, stratagems, and wargear, which is what we’re taking a look at today. Let’s start with the Legion Traits:

First up, the flaming skulls, which are as Chaos a faction as ever there was–the flaming skulls carry with them the howls of the damned, which means that all Command checks are at a disadvantage, if you can manage to leverage this, you can outmaneuver your opponent, denying them the skills they’re counting on.

Then there’s Path to Ascension followed by Elite Magos, both of which can give you some unexpected resilience when facing down heavy enemy firepower.

Now let’s take a look at the Legio Specific Wargear. First up, the Legio Honorum’s signature item, the Basilius Throne.

Then the Gore Crow’s Storm Frag Shells help them live up to their name.

So if you’re looking to unleash some maximal fire, you’re in the right place. Two other bits of wargear are previewed, both themed to Ryza’s specific niche. We have some Plasma Rifling:

Predictably, this gives you a longer range with your plasma and laser weapons, which can come in handy against those hard to reach foes. And Reactor Fetters help keep your Titans from overreacting.

Which is to say, they help you vent plasma so you don’t overheat and explode, which is always a plus. There are plenty more waiting in the book–16 traits, 15 stratagems, and 21 wargear options await you, as well as rules for new maniples, Knight Allegiances, Battle Standards, and more. So be sure and check back for more.

Good luck, princeps!
