The Lumineth Realm-lords are coming soon and Teclis will march to war on the tabletop – but where is Tyrion?

We’ve seen that Games Workshop has quite the impressive range of miniatures representing the Lumineth Realm-lords. They are a fantastic re-imagining of the older Pointy Elves and we can’t wait to get our hands on those miniatures. That said, from the previews so far, we’re still wondering where one pretty big name is at: Where is Tyrion?

If you don’t know who Tyrion is, here’s a bit of his back story from the World-that-was:

Prince Tyrion was one of the greatest living warriors and Generals in Ulthuan and possibly even the world. He and his twin brother Teclis were opposites in every way. Where Teclis was a mighty master of magic but physically weak, Tyrion was strong and a master of martial skills.

To put of bluntly, Tyrion was the brawn to Teclis’ brains. They were a great team and as twin gods of the Realm of Light, they rule with a symmetry unlike any others.

Twin Rulers of Hysh

Tyrion was the first to awaken in the Hysh but found himself to be blind. He then found and woke his brother and they learned they could shape this new realm to their wills. They also learned that Tyrion could see through his brother’s eyes. While they explored their new powers, they understood that it was their responsibility to serve and protect this realm.

If you’ve been following the story of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, the latest events in Wrath of the Everchosen moved the story forward in the sense that the location of Slaanesh has been discovered by the forces of Chaos. Archaon attempted to free the Dark Prince but was forced to return to the Eightpoints after the forces of Death invaded.

So what does this have to do with Tyrion? Well, he hasn’t been idle in all of this – he IS a god of the Realm of Light. He and Teclis helped to hide Slaanesh with the aid of Malerion. During the Age of Myth, he even successfully led his forces against an invasion of thousands of Daemonettes. Tyrion is still a fierce warrior-god…So where is he?

It’s a little odd that Games Workshop has shown off the Teclis model and not brought in a new Tyrion model as well. Perhaps they are saving him as a final reveal. Or maybe they weren’t planning on re-introducing him just yet. Or maybe there is more to the story that has yet to be revealed – what if something happens to Tyrion because of the discovery of Slaanesh? There are lots of ways this could pan out. Whatever the case, we’re hoping to see Tyrion come back to the tabletop with a glorious new model!

Do you think Tyrion is waiting in the wings for a big reveal or do you think GW is planning something else for the twin god of the Realm of Light?
