Games Workshop: Aquilos – The Battle Begins At Breakfast
Either Games Workshop is branching out or…*checks date* yep, it’s April 1st.
It’s the day of the year that manufacturers create fake products. Sometimes you wish they were real. Other times, you’re kind of glad they aren’t. This one…well, watch the video and you decide:
So is this a product you would want to eat? I mean, cornflakes are cornflakes, right? If GW did make this stuff I’d be a little concerned. That said I wouldn’t be surprised if they licensed out the IP to an actual cereal manufacturer. Hey – there have been TONS of movie tie-in and video game tie-in cereals over the years. I remember as a kid I got burned by the enticing lure of the Zelda cereal from Nintendo. It was terrible. Ever since then I’ve never bought another licensed promotional cereal. At least GW is on the up-and-up about the flavor of this stuff.
“Free from nutrients and flavor.” Hmm…Also, the top of the box says: Made from 100% organic Terran Khorne. Is that Heresy? That’s gotta be Heresy.
It’s not even the first time that joke has been made…at least Aquilos are Emperor Approved!
I, personally, can’t make out what the side of the box says – but I’m sure it’s just another joke. Internet, I’ll leave that one for you to decipher. Look, I’m not much of a cereal guy but would I try a bowl of Aquilos? Probably. Would I regret it afterwards? Definitely. Never trust 100% Organic Terrain Khorne!
