We might not be in the studio but we have some cool miniatures to show off. Check out The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms miniatures!

Hey there BoLS Readers. Normally we’d do a video of these miniatures unboxed but since we’re kind off all stuck in self isolation, I’m doing this unboxing old school. So what are we showing off today? The three new miniature sets for The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms.

Yes, they got a little banged up in shipping, but I’m happy to report that all the plastic miniatures inside were just fine.

Bleak Falls Barrow – Delve Set

The kit has all the stuff you’d expect with for a plastic set. You’ve got your bases, the instructions and of course the miniatures. These sprues reminded me of something like a plastic kit you might find for a Historicals set of miniatures. Which kind of makes sense – these are more “true scale” instead of a heroic scale. At 32mm you get a good amount of details. If you’re a fan of Skyrim you’ll recognize  these Draugr as they are pretty spot on. At least they aren’t waking from their crypts to murder you. For now.

While they might not be as technically impressive as some other kits, they are still a good offering. That’s pretty accurate across the board for all of these kits. They don’t look terribly difficult to assemble and I’ll probably get these put together so I can play around with the miniatures later.

Imperial Legion Plastic Faction Starter Set

Again, the box got a little banged up in shipping but the contents were just fine. You get all your bases *snicker* and a single sprue for the minis along with instructions.

The Imperial Set definitely has that Roman Legion look to it. So, ya, it’s basically right out of Skyrim. I like the sculpts and again they don’t look too tough to assemble.

I like this set a lot and could see it used for other skirmish games as well as The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms. And if you were a fan of the Imperials in Skyrim and wanted a set of miniatures for them, well, I think they nailed it with this set.

Stormcloak Faction Plastic Starter Set

Strangely enough the Nord box here was the only one of the three that wasn’t beat-up in shipping. I blame it on their hearty constitution. Inside, you get the same set of stuff – bases, instructions and a plastic sprue.

These are the warriors of the Stormcloak Rebellion. They are pretty much right of the video game, too. I think they did a fantastic job on the armor for these guys.

If you want to enlist and help Ulfric Stormcloak free his peoples from the Empire, then this is the box for you!

Overall, I like all three of these kits and I’m looking forward to checking out the rules for playing this game. If you’d like give it a try, my fellow writer JR has put together an article with a ton of helpful links. You can also download the PDF of the Core Rulebook for FREE right now.

So go check out The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms and get ready to battle for Skyrim!

But can I craft and enchant my own armor…That’s what I really want to know.
