D&D: Mythic Odysseys Of Theros Physical Release Delayed Until July 21st
It seems that the magic of Theros is taking a little while longer to gather than expected. The physical release of the new D&D book has been delayed.
What a ride these past two months have been–they saw the release of the Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount, which had broken patterns to become one of the most pre-ordered D&D books of all times, only to almost immediately get hit with a blossoming pandemic that locked the world down. Now, according to information from Amazon, the newest D&D book, Mythic Odysseys of Theros, which would take players into yet another D&D realm inspired by greek mythology and Magic cards, has been delayed.
At least, the physical copy of the book has been held up. Mythic Odysseys, previously due out on June 2nd, now seems to be scheduled for a July 21st release date, going by what the Amazon product listing page says.
But gamers looking to explore the poleis of Theros and delve deep into the dungeons hidden within won’t have to wait too long. The book is still slated for a June 2nd release, albeit only a digital one.
It'll take a little longer to get your hands on the fantastic physical covers for Mythic Odysseys of Theros. Stores will now have these in stock on 7/21.

Customers who pre-ordered through the delivery/reatil/global domination conglomerate that is Amazon have received emails saying that the book had been delayed, but digital distribution of the book through D&D Beyond, Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds is still ready to hit the ground running next month.
At this point it’s worth reminding folks of a recent initiative to help bolster sales for FLGSes in the Wizards Play Network by including a coupon for 50% off the digital version when players ordered Theros through their local store (as long as it was in the Wizards Play Network), though the staggered release does seem like it might hit stores that are already struggling a little harder than most.
Been trying to make this happen for a long time.
Got a first victory on this front last week.
If you buy the MOoT hardcover from a local store, you'll get a 50% off discount for the digital version on DDB. It's a start, and I will be pushing for this on all books going forward.
