There’s a new Rumor Engine in town and it’s got a handle on things – if things were actually a sword. Check it out.

He’s got a Sword! And some really sharp looking nails. And that sword looks like it’s seen better days. And what’s up with that growth on the elbow? What am I talking about? Take a look at the Rumor Engine for this week and you tell me!

The Rumour Engine returns to brighten your day with a teeny tiny image of some future model. Someday, you’ll see the rest of that pic and it’ll be glorious. Just you wait and see…

First thing that comes to mind is a Vampire. The arm looks very lithe and supernaturally strong plus the claws-for-nails is a very vampire thing. The Sword looks beat-up and weathered. That’s a very undead aesthetic. It could be a ghost or wight, but that arm looks too meaty and non-ethereal. So ya, I’m going with an undead – probably a vampire – with an old sword.

It’s been a while since the vampire portion of the Death faction got any attention. We’ve had Ghosts (Nighthaunt), Ghouls (Flesh-eater Courts) and Skeletons (well skeletal constructs with the Ossiarch Bonereapers). We haven’t seen any vampires and that’s a classic part of the range. Plus Black Library has been hyping-up the Drachenfels book and while it is technically from the Old World vampires are still around in the Death Faction.

Maybe it’s a new character. Maybe it’s part of a Warband for Warhammer: Underworlds or Warcry. Maybe it’s part of a new boxed set. Who knows?! But it’s definitely a new model and guessing is part of the fun.

So what do you think? What do you think this model is a part of? Let us know in the comments.
