Warhammer 40K: Engine War – Exalted Greater Daemon Rules Unleashed
The Daemons of Chaos are getting some big upgrades with the Exalted Greater Daemons. Take a look at all four of the Chaos Daemon’s options.
Psychic Awakening: Engine War is up for pre-order this weekend and with it a ton of new rules are hitting different armies. We’ve gotten a preview for the Chaos Daemons but now we have a better look at all the new Exalted Greater Daemon Rules and how they work.
Essentially, each army can spend a command point to upgrade a Greater Daemon into an Exalted version. This adds the keyword Exalted and also allows you to choose from a chart of 6 options two different ways. You can either pick one option or roll twice on the chart. What’s really nice about this one is doubles don’t count – you get to roll again for two different results. And some of these abilities are pretty mean!

Not bad upgrades all around! Again, for only 1 CP you can turn a Greater Daemon into an Exalted version and they get better. The real question is do you roll twice or pick once…How much do you trust the dice gods on this one?
Most of the time rolling for it seems like the way to go. However, depending on Warlord Traits and relics, choosing the option might be the more consistent choice. It really comes down to your particular game plan and also what you’re facing off against as some of these can be situational.
