40K RUMORS: New Necron Stats

There’s two new sets of Necron Rules Rumors doing the rounds today. Let’s dive in.

The new boxed set is coming this weekend and everyone is freaking out in anticipation. We have a general idea of what the Primaris will bring based on the rest of their range and past history, but the Necrons could be real wildcards. The new Necron minis are amazing and everyone is clamoring to get stat details. Here’s two sets of rumors that showed up in the last day:

The RUMORS

“I’ve just seen these rumoured rules in addition to those of the Silent King. I have no idea if their legitimacy, as soon as I find the Silent King ones from a different source, I’ll share them here. Let’s just say that he appears to be an autoinclude with some bonkers rules and only 340 points.”

• 2 Pillars each have a tesla sphere, and can cast 1 ctan power each.
• Otherwise have their own statlines and can intercept shots at SK.
• BS3, T6, 8w, 4++

• M10, WS2, BS2, S7, T7, W16, A4, LD10 3+/4++

• Grants reroll 1s to hit and wound with ranged attacks for infantry
• Fearless aura
• +1 to reanimation protocal aura, or you may reroll 1s, chosen before RP are rolled
• Heals d3 wounds each turn per pillar alive.
• Also grants an additional command point at the beginning of the command phase.

“Take this with Salt as I’m relinking an image from a FB post of possible necron rules.  They don’t seem to be crazy and seem plausible but they could easily be false at this point.  Also I know someone is going to be mad that I’m sharing this just because and for that person I have a hug for you.  It is nice to enjoy our hobby during these crazy times even if they are just rumors.”

Thoughts

The stats seem realistic, and plausible. There’s nothing insane in there. The weapons match the models.  The Silent King’s point cost of 340 seems low compared to the difficulty of killing him. It’s a starting point for speculation, but as always caveat emptor. There ARE hoaxsters out there wanting to cause trouble.

~Remember everyone, these are rumors. Have at it, but I’m sure the real rules will be along in the next week or so.
