Finished her enough to the point where I’m good and done looking at her! I know there’s areas that need more work but I’ve learned all the amount I’m wanting to learn and I’m ready to move to the next project! So finished, but not perfect. #kingdomdeathminiatures #kingdomdeath #kingdomdeathmonster #flowerwitch #kingdomdeathflowerwitch #flower #miniaturepainting #miniatures #painting #paintingminiatures #wip #commissionsopen #commissionpainter #twitchartist

Finished, Legion of the Damned Sergeant! Probably the most controversial models I've painted as someone is always quick to point out they didn't have primaris armor or flaming skulls. I also apparently stole the idea from another artist? 😂 Proof, anyone? Oh I'm blocked, thanks coward. This is my disclaimer: I do not care. When you paint your little man you can do it just how you want and I'll paint mine. To people who have been told their work is wrong, I salute you. Paint and Ork yellow, make your own chapter, use the colors you like 🍻 Patreon.com/samlenzartwork (link in bio) . . . . . . . . #paintingminiatures #art #painting #warhammer #ageofsigmar #warcry #scalemodel #fantasyart #scifiart #darkart #killteam #scalemodeling #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer #tabletopminions #dailyart #warhammerfantasy #modelpainting #necromunda #miniaturemonday #wargaming #warmongers #tabletopgaming #samlenz #instaart #killteam #shelterinhobby #dnd #legionofthedamned #spacemarine

#miniaturemonday: If the photos of these #exquisite #miniatureinteriors didn’t have the toothbrush, garlic clove, scissors, etc. sharing the frame, one would totally think that these rooms are human sized. But they are obviously not. They are the intricate handiwork of the talented #miniatureartist—Chris Toledo. Based in Los Angeles, #christoledo creates #miniature sculptures of homes and historical interiors. His passion for building small things began when at age 9, he discovered the world of #dollhouseminiatures in a magazine that he found in a doctor's office and he said he instantly became “obsessed.” He learned how to work on a small scale by using pre-made sculpting kits from a local hobby store. "The kits allowed me to become familiar with working at a smaller scale, and helped develop my miniature eye," Toledo explained. By the time he was 13 years old, he decided that he wanted to build his own designs from scratch rather than limiting himself to the kits. “When it comes to my work, I pull inspiration from my love of historic architecture and my surroundings," Toledo said. "Having lived in Los Angeles my entire life, I always loved the heavy revival-influenced architecture [of the city]." Most of Toledo's sculptures incorporate design trends that were popular in the early 20th century. “To ensure complete historical accuracy, I rely on a series of historic books I've collected from the early 20th century that outline the designs and building techniques of the period," the artist said. "I like to bring awareness to historical architecture with my pieces and remind people of a time where architecture was a reigning form of art.” A single-room creation can take up to a month for Toledo to finish, while sculptures of an entire home may take him a year or longer. “Through my work, I love giving myself and others a chance to peer into the past with their own eyes and be able to touch and feel the history," Toledo said. He even incorporates aspects of "wear and tear" into the rooms. (The above was paraphrased from an insider.com article from Feb 2020) His Instagram is @ibuildsmallthings. #iloveminiatures #ilovesmallstuff #itsthelittlethingsinlife ❤️
