D&D: Solasta, The Other Big 5E CRPG, Launches New Trailer And DEMO
Solasta, Crown of the Magister, is the other big 5th Edition computer RPG in development. Check out its shiny new trailer and gameplay preview this week!
It is a big week for D&D video games, because this week we got a closer look at not one, but two different big, expansive RPGs that use the 5th Edition rules to give players incredible freedom to explore their worlds. We’ve talked about Baldur’s Gate III before, which you’ll get to see on the 18th as well, but today we’re here to look at Solasta, Crown of the Magister, which is a more party-focused game. If you’re looking to experience the freedom of 5th Edition with an experience that hews closely to the rules of the game, and especially if you’re looking for a party-focused experience, this is the game for you. Check out this new trailer that highlights everything you need to know.
Solasta, Crown of the Magister is all about building your own party of adventurers–so you decide if you want to play a party of all Dwarven Wizards, or Halfling Clerics, or if you want to make a Paladin, Barbarian, Fighter, and Ranger to build the beefiest bunch of adventurers you possibly can. It’s also got its own expansive story that will take you from humble beginnings towards an epic conclusion in an adventure shaped by the choices you make. But you don’t have to take my word for it. You can download a demo of the game now for a limited time.

Wizards of the Coast granted Tactical Adventures a license to use the Dungeons and Dragons SRD 5.1 Ruleset, further anchoring our will to make the most faithful video game adaptation with the Tabletop Ruleset and craft the game you are hoping for!
Bring the authentic Tabletop gaming experience to your PC: roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.

In the demo, you’ll have a chance to play with the character creation toolset, picking from one to six different classes, picking from Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, Human, or Halfling. You’ll also be able to embark on the first part of an adventure and do some exploration, though you’ll have to use the included premade party. Want to know more about what’s happening in this game?
