When you hear the name Chainsaw Warrior, you can practically smell the 80s wafting off of it. Published in 1987, Chainsaw Warrior was a board game about one warrior wading through a darkened labyrinth of New York trying to save it from a horde of zombies being led on by a mysterious force known only as The Darkness. Equipped with whatever weapons you can find (including a chainsaw) and a special weapon called a Laser Lance, which is the only weapon capable of stopping “the Darkness”, the Chainsaw Warrior has a long night ahead of them.
It was a game about racing against the clock, finding the right weapons and equipment, and good old zombie hack and slash fun. Some years ago, it was released as a digital version on Steam, and today, as part of Skulls for the Skull Throne 4: The Legend of Curly’s Gold, you can get Chainsaw Warrior and the expansion DLC for it, Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of Night, for one easy price.
