This is a controversial one for me. Uniformity was always my main goal when army painting and although I really like the subtle battle damage and light reflections you see on Marines these days, I never applied those to my Dark Angels, as the army as a whole is quite old and didn’t have any of that. With this one I threw that out the window and tried something a bit different, though to me he really sticks out now between the other models. What do you think is more important? I found this box in a stack of discounts at my local hobby store, for me this box has no waste, I will start with Gandalf but I don’t know which of the characters I will end up with. I imagine him walking through some ruin of middle earth, illuminated only by his staff and with his Glamdring sword always ready for combat, a fairly classic interpretation but one that reminds me so much of the books and movies that I love so much.
