The new season of Warhammer Underworlds has arrived, see what lurks in the Direchasm. Then stick around for all new Warcry books for each Grand Alliance.

It is Warbands weekend next week, whether you’re playing in Warhmmer Underworlds, or Warcry, if you’re fighting with a skirmish-level number of models, this weekend has got you covered. First up, the big news, the next season of Warhammer Underworlds is here. The Direchasm is opening up, bringing with it a new core set, two new warbands, and more.

But that’s not all, Warhammer Warcry is getting a major update this weekend, with new books for the Grand Alliances, new Warbands, and the Tome of Champions. Let’s check it out.

The new season of Warhammer Underworlds starts here. Deep in Beastgrave, new caverns have opened at the living mountain’s roots. Here, in Direchasm, ancient treasures await those bold enough to explore – and powerful enough to survive.

The new Direchasm Core set comes with a board, dice, cards, and two warbands with ready-to-play decks. There’s Myari’s Purifiers, a band of Lumineth Realm Lords.

And the Hedonites of the Dread Pageant, who work for Slaanesh, as you might have guessed.

Now let’s take a look at what’s coming for Warcry. First up, four new books with a comprehensive list of the leaders, fighters, and monsters available to the various factions that make up each Grand Alliance–so you can build your own Warcry band with whatever models you have.

But if you want some help jump starting your warbands, there are four new boxes with a selection of models, as well as all the cards and tokens you need to play.

Now two of these warbands we’ve seen before, the Scions of Flame and Khainite Shadowstalkers, but the other two for Nagash and the Sylvaneth are some prebuilt warbands, ready to play. But that’s not all:

Whichever warband you play with, you’ll want the Tome of Champions 2020. This 112-page book is packed with new rules for open, narrative, and matched play, including multiplayer pit fights, new fated quests, and challenge battles, as well as a sprawling narrative campaign set in the city of Soroth Kor. You’ll be able to fight for territory and artefacts as you seek dominion over all the inhabitants of the city.

All this next week!
