Warhammer Underworlds: Roadmap Update & New Model Preview
Games Workshop has a new roadmap for Warhammer Underworlds for the new year – come see what’s coming in 2021!
Warhammer Underworlds has a ton of cool, new stuff coming in 2021 and it kicks off with Direchasm. But what else is on the way? GW has a few plans in the works.

January – Khagra’s Ravagers
February – Starblood Stalkers
March – ???
April – ???
May – ???
June – ???
Now, we are going to make some guesses at what those warbands will be – but first, new models.
If you haven’t seen Khargra’s Ravagers, they were shown off at the Decadence and Decay Preview. But here they are again:
And now we have a look at another model coming from the Starblood Stalkers:
“We won’t say too much more about Kixi Taka right now, but that mysterious sphere in their left hand could have major ramifications for Direchasm.”
It’s a new Skink Priest model and that’s also the answer to a Rumor Engine as well:
It’s the other side of the Skink’s plume and the staff, but it’s the same model. Very sneaky! We also get that same Chameleon Skink we’ve seen before:
We also have another couple clues about the upcoming warbands. First up, we get this really interesting silhouette:
Could that sword be one of the swords teased from the various Rumor Engines:
It’s fairly ornate so it’s possible. GW typically doesn’t go through the trouble to rotating things in the Rumor Engines to be at a weird angle however. But maybe this is just a red herring. That said, if you’ve got guesses we’d love to see them in the comments!
Now let’s get to the Warband guesses.
March – This new warband looks a bit like Vampire or Undead to me. It has very “bat-like” features. Plus the red background screams blood…
April – it’s bones and teeth with a green background. Orruks? Maybe even Savage Orruks? Bonesplittas?
May – That one is Ossiarch Bonereapers. And I’m pretty sure that it’s related to this Rumor Engine:
June – I’m not sure. But if I had to guess, I’m going to go with Idoneth Deepkin based on the symbol and the blue background. Why Deepkin and not Lumineth Realm-lords? Well, the Lumineth are going to be part of the boxed set. Plus the symbol reminds me a lot of the Deepkin Iconography:
But hey, if you know for sure please let us know in the comments – that goes for any of these sneaky previews. Based on this roadmap Games Workshop has plans for Warhammer Underworlds and it looks like they are getting releases every month for 6 months (or 7 if you want to count December, too). And that’s a good thing in my opinion! I don’t know what I’m more excited for – new Warhammer Underworlds warbands, the new season coming, or new model reveals, or some answers to all these Rumor Engines. I need to know GW, I need to know…
