Warhammer 40k: The Blood Angels are Back, Baby – FTN
This episode is basically a love note to the Blood Angels. The Codex Supplement is going to make a huge impact on this edition.
Hey all,
In this episode, we talk all Blood Angels all the time. Stephen Box from Vanguard Tactics joins us early in the show to run down his initial thoughts on this great supplement.
We can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the Sanguinary Guard is simply amazing still. They do everything you want them to do and their point values don’t break the bank. They suffer a bit from not being Primaris Marines but that is where the downside stops.
You can make a case for basically everything in the Elite slot making it a very crowded option. This is a good thing as it is great for collecting lots of different units and giving you a host of different things you can rotate through on the table keeping your experience fresh.
The Troops slot benefits a TON from the new Assault Intercessors and if you’re a long time BA player and you haven’t picked these up yet, you’re gonna want them.
You’re going to hear a lot of people making comparisons to what is ‘best’ in this book and take heart – different opinions can both be right. Mephiston is good. The Librarian Dreadnought is good. Death Company are good. Inceptors are good.. The list goes on and on. In the early days of this book do yourself a favor and just have fun with it. I know I will.
