Goatboy’s Armylist: Alpha Possessed Strike!
Goatboy here again and I loved the super CSM Possessed army from the LVNopen. Let’s supercharge it!
That list was pretty awesome, fluffy, and just cool as heck. Of course – this means I thought what could I do to make it better? What could I do to make it crazy fast to get in there, get to damaging things, and wreck some crap.
Of course – with DG showing Possessed to only be 10 man strong units this army might not have long to live. I really think I can sacrifice 20 man units for a new CSM book full of new rules, good secondaries, and hopefully tweaked Legion system. But until then we got this hot mess of stuff.
To continue my thoughts on troops don’t matter too much I present you the following list. This list doesn’t give you a ton of time to respond especially if it goes first – but it most likely still has some power if it goes second and can shift where it is set up depending on the terrain.

Possessive Tactics
As you can see – this army is set up to move 3 units of Possessed 9 inches, have a flat -1 to hit from shooting as needed, and if you go first can them move them again 7 inches with an Advance and maybe hit into someone. They don’t have the flat amount of attacks the DG ones do – but it should have enough wreck shop as needed. I am tempted to give the Exalted Champ the Warlord trait to show up somewhere as needed – that way I can quickly set up, move out, and maybe get some fun reroll to hit options as needed. It is something to think about if this list ever sees the light of day. I do have a ton of Possessed laying around.
These ideas of fully on assault lists seems like they could be good as they cover the table quickly, get locked in, and hopefully don’t run into a ton of Grey Knight Purifiers that have a 2+ inv save (most likely gonna go away whenever they get a new book). The two Heldrakes are there to get stuck in quick and be a pain in the butt. I think these guys are gonna see more play especially when they start to hit on a 3+.
