‘Mortal Kombat’ Red Band Trailer Captures the Video Game’s Brutality
Warner Bros. went straight for the jugular with a restricted trailer for Mortal Kombat that brings the finisher scenes from the games to live-action.
Not sure what needs to be said beyond there’s a lot of signature moves and you’re going to have to log in for this one.
Goro has gotten the biggest glow-up of the bunch. No more wonky claymation for the big guy.

The new Mortal Kombat cast includes Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Max Huang as Kung Lao, Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, and Sisi Stringer as Mileena. Lewis Tan is playing Cole Young, a new character with an MMA background.
Mortal Kombat arrives on HBOMax and in theaters on April 16th.
