‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Finally Has a Release Date
The Abbott family’s fight for survival against monsters that hunt by sound continues on foot continues in May.
A Quiet Place Part II was set to be released in March of last year – it was one of the first movie casualties of the pandemic. It’s been chilling, waiting for a new release date since. The new date has been confirmed by writer/director John Krasinski.
They always say good things come to those who wait. Well… I think we’ve waited long enough.

Since it’s been a bit, here’s what been released so far about the next chapter…
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
This series is better with a theater experience, which may have been why they kept pushing the date back – audiences on the opening week of the first one were trying to be as quiet as possible so the characters would survive. I’m expecting the second part will be the same, so if you didn’t get that experience the first time around make sure you (are vaccinated and) snag a ticket for this. If you aren’t ready to go back to theaters, it will be available exclusively on Paramount+ 45 days after the theater release.
A Quiet Place: Part 2 hits theaters on May 28th.
