MTG: Arena Available On Mobile Today

Magic: the Gathering Arena is live now on the Apple App and Google Play stores, now you can bring your favorite deck to the palm of your hand.

If you have played Magic: the Gathering at all in the last year or so, odds are good you played it on Arena. You’d doubtless be familiar with the platform’s top-tier adaptation of the tabletop rules for Magic: the Gathering. Arena has done a stellar job of keeping pace with the official releases from WotC, so you’ll always be current when playing it.

You can build the same decks you would out of boosters in physical space, and, as of today, you can play the game on your favorite mobile device with the launch of Arena on Android and iOS devices. More importantly, it launches with full cross-play, so you can play with whomever on whatever device, whether you’re playing on a tablet, or at your hard-core gaming Mac, which I’m convinced is out there somewhere. At any rate, you can check out the app, free, on both stores.

And to celebrate the launch of the game on mobile, Danny Trejo and Patton Oswalt have concocted an alternate reality where they’re both Magic afficianados and the kind of roommates that, frankly, I’d want in my house.
