The Drukhari are getting a new codex very soon and with it comes some update. Today, we’re getting a Big Drukhari Rule Preview direct from Games Workshop!

We’re on a one-way ticket to Commorragh today thanks to GW. They have dropped a ton of info on the upcoming Drukhari Codex with some rule previews. Let’s dive in to what we can expect from these spikey aeldari!

Master Archons

“By spending a few extra points you can upgrade yours to a Master Archon, unlocking new abilities and a powerful Relic for the taking.”

It’s not just Archons who will get the upgrade treatment – look out for Upgraded Succubi and Haemonculi leaders, too!

New Retinues

Yep! The Trueborn are back as a Retinue option. Oh and yes, “Master Succubi and Haemonculi had their own retinues too…”

New Raiding Forces

Slightly tweaked but back in the new codex are the Raiding Forces. Toss in a mix of Kabal, Wych Cult, and Haemonculus Covens all in a single army list and still get benefits! Why type of benefits? Well:

New Kabal Options

GW previewed one particular Kabal and it’s looking pretty nasty if you’re a fan of Poison weapons:

And in case you were worried about  getting those fancy poison shots where you need them, just use a little misdirection:

Power From Pain

Guess what’s still a thing for the Drukhari?! If you said spikes, you’re correct. But also Power From Pain:

Army wide buffs based on the battle round and the effects are cumulative. Yep – The longer the game goes, the better they get!

Combat Drugs

“Not content with being extremely fast and dangerous even on their worst days, the Drukhari’s Wyches take all manner of skill-enhancing substances to spur their abilities to even more ridiculous heights.”

It seems Combat Drugs have gotten a slight rework. Now you can just choose the drugs you want to take or you can roll to get TWO of them. Do you feel lucky? Just watch out for those side effects…

More Relics

And hey, it wouldn’t be a new codex without some more Relics to toss in the mix, right?

A Cursed Blade and a Cursed Doll? Yep, seems about right. The Drukhari are packing some nasty tools in the next codex. And it’s on the way very soon!

The Raiders are loaded – are you prepared for them?
