Warhammer 40K: Freeblade Lance Rules!
There’s an all-new way to field an army of Freeblades in The Book of Rust. Take a look at one of Warhammer 40k’s newest armies.
Freeblades are back in the Book of Rust. These legendary knights have lead exemplary lives and have carved out quite a unique path across the battlefields of the 42nd millennium. From within the throne rooms of their mighty Imperial Knights, these Freeblades are sure to be a boon to anyone fighting in War Zone Charadon. Let’s check out the new Army of Renown.
The New Army of Renown
A Freeblade Lance is a way to create a whole army that feels like both big and stompy and characterful, thanks to the unique traits included here. You gain special qualities–and Freeblades in the Book of Rust gain two qualities and one burden. In addition to a special Warlord Trait and Relic. Just look at these new custom weapons.
That Bringer of Justice is sure to cleave through tons of enemies. And just look at these new Stratagems, designed to function whether you want to run a lone wolf type hero or if you want to have a bold lance leading your charge across the battlefield. I can already tell I’m probably going to throw away whole games trying to get Deeds of Legend to go off, but it’ll be so worth it the one time it works the way it’s supposed to, and pulls that niche victory out of the jaws of defeat.
More risk-averse heads might prefer the reliability of something like Strength from Exile, which can support a single unit moving in to menace whatever target it wants–allowing you to take advantage of the superior mobility and armor provided by Knights. Of course, this is only a taste of what awaits you in the new book, so be sure and check it out.
