The Piety And Pain boxed set is up for Pre-Order this weekend. Which side is getting the best deal? Let’s take a look to find out.

We have multiple retailers confirming the price point of Piety And Pain is $170 USD. Now it’s time to take a closer look at the contents and decide if this is a deal and for which side – the Drukhari or the Adepta Sororitas (or both). So let’s do some quick math and find out.

Piety And Pain

Drukarhi Side

Lelith Hesperax* – $35 (based on new Character Pricing)

Scourges $34

Venom $36

Wyches $36

MSRP Total: $141

*Lelith does have a current finecast model which is currently available. If this new plastic version was the same price it would be $25.

Sisters of Battle Side

Palatine – $35 (based on new character pricing)

Immolator $75

Retributor Squad$55

MSRP Total: $165

Total MSRP – $141 + $165 = $306

Total Savings = $136

With the box price of $170, you’re just barely paying over the retail price for the Sisters to get the entire Drukhari half “for free” if you wanted to look at it that way. It’s a pretty steep discount vs MSRP so it’s quite a deal. But which side comes out ahead?

Strangely enough the MSRP value for the Sisters of Battle in the box is higher than the Drukhari side of things. It’s kind of funny considering how many more models the Drukhari get compared to the Sisters in the box. That said, you have to ask “are these forces are balanced?” Realistically, it kind of depends on who catches who out in the open. If you do decide to split this down the middle with a friend you are still getting an incredible deal. $85 for either half is a good price (almost as much as a old Start Collecting Box). If you wanted to really split hairs on the price, the Drukhari player should be paying about $78 while the Sisters player would pay about $92. But that’s for you all to decide how you want to split the cost.
