Warhammer Next Week: Seraphon In Underworlds, Halfling Blood Bowl
It’s a specialist games spectacular next weekend with pre-orders for a skinky new warband, as well as a Halfling Blood Bowl Upgrade.
If all the 40K releases happening this coming weekend weren’t enough, there’s a specialist games showdown that sees the opening of the Direchasm once more as everyone’s favorite lizard/dino-people get their own Warhammer Underworlds Warband. Assuming your favorite lizard/dino-people are the Seraphon.
The Slann Starmasters have foreseen the awakening of Beastgrave and the horrors it could unleash upon the Mortal Realms, and they have sent their finest warriors to destroy the mountain from the inside – along with anyone who gets in their way.
The Starblood Stalkers are a well-balanced warband with a mix of strong and agile fighters and a pre-built deck that rewards many different playing styles.
They bring a new type of gambit to the game to help them take advantage of fortuitous stellar alignments:
But that’s far from everything. Speaking of cards, Blood Bowl’s hard-luck Halflings get an upgrade this week. Though where the Halflings are concerned, half the team getting sick is technically an upgrade. Even so, this one seems to actually enhance their capabilities on the field? And it comes with a new pitch that’s been appropriately Halflingized?
Coaches who prefer eagerness to skill can pick up a Team Card Pack, which has been fully updated for the Second Season, a dice set, and a themed pitch, complete with dugouts.
AdvertisementThe card pack features reference cards for each of your player types and Star Players, along with a set of Halfling-specific special play cards that you can purchase as inducements – particularly handy for Halflings, as they’re likely to be the underdogs against anything larger than Snotlings.
The dice set includes all the dice you need for your games, served in a rich, buttery yellow with green markings. Pair them with the double-sided pitch and dugouts for the ultimate Halfling sporting experience. Just remember to bring snacks.
All this, next weekend
