Warhammer Preview: Wishlisting For Tomorrow
We’ve got a new Warhammer Preview right around the corner. What are you hoping to see? Here’s our wishlist!
Games Workshop has a new Preview planned for tomorrow. “Faith & Damnation” is set for Saturday and we’ve at least got a rough idea of the major topics GW is going to hit:
So given that we’ve got 4 major game system to cover, what do we think will get touched on for each?
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar- Vampires
We’re hoping to see even more from the new Vampire line of miniatures that GW has been working on. It’s been a long time coming as the Soulblight Vampires are one of the oldest factions and it’s been a long time since they got any real attention. GW basically made two entirely new armies for Death – Nighthaunt and Ossirach Bonereapers – before revisiting the classic vampires of AoS. We’re hoping they get a big reveal on Saturday.
Warhammer 40,000 – Next Codex(es) And New Models
We know the Ad Mech are getting a new model. And we are going to get to see that as it was teased by GW. However, we hope to see even more model reveals for 40k.
On top of that, we’re all collectively wondering who’s next in line for Codexes? The final codex that was listed officially was Drukhari and they are about to get a pre-order. So the path is open for the next batch of books. Will it be the obvious Ad Mech? Will we see more Xenos? Are there yet MORE Space Marine Chapters on the way?!?! We’ll have to tune in Saturday to find out.
Warhammer: Underworlds – Ossiarch Bonereapers & More
GW has been teasing the Warbands list for Warhammer: Underworlds. We know OBR are also coming in May and the Deepkin are looking like June. Hopefully we’ll see more from both of these Warbands.
I’m personally very curious about that teaser GW put out as well – specifically the model on the right:
That looks a LOT like a Mortek Guard with a Bow. So the question is if this is for AoS or Underworlds. Now, realistically, which ever system gets this model that means OBR are going to get a unit of Archers (eventually). If it is the Warband, it will be the first model in the army with the bow. We saw this pattern first with the Lumineth who got a “swordmaster” model and then an entire new unit for them, (coming eventually).
Other than that, we might even get a teaser looking at the Idoneth Deepkin, too. All of this is exciting stuff!
Necromunda – Cawdor, Redemptionists, and Beyond
The 2020 Roadmap had everything moved around. We’ve already gotten House of Iron (Orlock Expansion) and House of Artifice (Van Saar Expansion). We’ve still got Cawdor on the way with the Redemptionists who have been teased.
So will we see House of Redemption? That still leaves Delaque out and about. What about the Palanite Enforcers or more Cults?
Games Workshop has created a lot of room for themselves to expand Necromunda and we keep getting some awesome miniatures out of it – so bring it on GW!
