It’s been over a full year since these Rumor Engines were teased – so what happened to them? Let’s take a look and find out.

With all the news in the past week, this one got away from us a bit. Sure, it’s now April, but we didn’t want to skip out on checking in with these Rumor Engines from over a year ago. So let’s see the status of these Rumor Engines from March of 2020!

“Don’t Eat The Soup” – March 3, 2020

This one ended up being a part of the Blissbarb Archers unit.

“Buzzsaw Is Ready!” – March 10, 2020

This one was finally revealed as a part of the upcoming Beast Snaggas! That means it took a full year to figure this one out.

That image didn’t show up until the Faith & Damnation Preview which was March 20, 2021! Again, GW plays the long game…

“No Heresy Here, Nope!” March 17, 2020

Well now…this is another one that hasn’t been revealed yet. I wonder if this has something to do with the upcoming Be’lakor model. New Chaos units anyone?

“Get Ready For Fisticuffs” – March 24, 2020

This one was a double-dip from Games Workshop as it turned out to ALSO be from the Blissbarb Archer unit.

Pretty straightforward reveal on this one and a little surprising.

“Scythes of the Bonereapers” March 31, 2020

This one turned out to be an Ossiarch Bonereaper and was finally revealed fully slightly before the Faith & Damnation reveals. It’s the weapon of the leader of the new Ossiarch Bonereaper Warband Mir Kainan:

So there you have it – all the Rumor Engines from over a year ago! Again, some of these were JUST revealed less than 2 weeks ago. It’s kind of amazing that GW kept a lid on these for so long and it also illuminates just how long it can take to get a model from the studio in to the players hands. Heck, we still don’t have 3 out of the 5 reveals as products we can purchase yet. Talk about the long game.
