Warhammer 40K: Zodgrod Wortsnagga Rules Preview
It’s time to take a closer look at the return of Zodgrod Wortsnagga and his crazy rules!
Zodgrod Wortsnagga is coming back to the universe of Warhammer 40,000 in a bold new way. He’s got a crazy-haired new model and he’s also got some rules that are also a tad surprising. Let’s take a look at this crazy-eyed runt herder’s return!
He’s come a long way since his earlier incarnations, that’s for sure:
The new model certainly has some of the same sorts of motifs as the old one. The unique looking gun (for an ork), the eye patch, the claw is no longer a staff but a replacement hand, and the hair! He’s got an amazing beard and full head of hair (which are probably both hair squigs).
What always made Zodgrod unique in the ork society was that he was a bit a champion for Gretchin. He always believed he could train the runts to be better – and he was right.
“Through a combination of shiny objects, enticing fungal treats, and a few vials of the Painboys’ ‘special brew’, Zodgrod succeeded in creating a new breed of ‘super runt’, possessed of greater strength, intelligence, and frankly alarming levels of problem-solving ability.”
This is now reflected with one of his special rules:
That’s not the only special thing about him either, you might have noticed his crazy claw.
Not only is a it a solid melee weapon stat-wise, it’s also more effective against monsters units.
Yep! On a 2+, that monster unit must attack after all your eligible units have gone. Surprise. He’s great at snaggin beasts!
More Snakebites Ahead
Games Workshop also left us with this tidbit about more things on the way…
“Oh, and in case you were wondering if he’s the only Snakebite Character arriving in the new codex, he’s definitely not. After all, the squig-riding side of the Beast Snaggas can’t just have a few Nobs on Smasha Squigs (which we saw during Warhammer Fest Online) leading them around, can they?”
He’s not the only Snakebite Character returning…anyone want to take some guesses as to who else is getting a revamp?
Are we going to see a Grot Revolution army? Maybe not this time around…
