Goatboy’s Warhammer 40K: – So You Have Too Many Drop Pods!
Goatboy here and I found a way to put all those dusty Drop Pods to good use!
A random look at my model shelves shows I happen to have a few Marine Drop Pods laying around. How frustrating is it that we don’t have a Primaris Drop Pod or just allowing Marine players to throw their bigger brethren into the space coffins of death. Well – here is a list that tries to use some of the classic pods, is extremely aggressive, and might actually work. In any case, it is meant to get into your business as fast as it can and hopefully cause you to fail some saves.
It is also extremely simple and should always let you have enough time to get a drink or two in-between rounds. Or a good lunch. Or let you shop at some shops at the event. But enough of that – let’s dig into this hot mess of nonsense.
I went with White Scars again as it is an assault army so going with something that loves to be in assault is the best. I am sure you can do something with this and Space Wolves too – most likely swapping some things around for Thunder Wolves to get the advance and charge options. I really like White Scars for the dumb teleporting bike that jumps thru people and lets you bring that sweet +2 litany to charges. Mix that with some of the other stuff and you got the zoom zoom in your boom boom.
Oh – and it is a single Battalion because I like to build lists the way GW wants you too – troops and all.

Droppin Tactics
You got a lot of models that can go 20 inches or so and charge mixed with 3 units of drop pods coming down dropping a-holes ready to take all your kid’s candy. I am sure the loadout for the Vanguard Vets can be tweaked but I figured this setup will give you a lot of attacks with some decent damage potential. Once round 3 hits the army goes a bit crazy with damage output but who knows if it will survive by then. Either way – it is coming in hard and fast like the Fast and Furious angry about family.
For the Emperor!
