MTG: Innistrad Brings Box Toppers Back With Crimson Vow
An Amazon product listing leaks some surprising details for Crimson Vow–box toppers are back, but only for vamps. Check it out.
The internet is an incredible place; here the present frequently collides with the future, and often all in the name of commerce, as one redditor revealed. According to a recent find by u/doublefang over on the Magic subreddit, it looks like the tradition of boxtoppers on set boosters is coming back for the next jaunt to Innistrad–but only for Crimson Vow.
Box toppers are extra promotional MTG cards, tied to whatever set booster sleeves they’re attached to. They are also the source of some of the more unique cards in Magic’s collection, including the Godzilla cards that came with Ikoria: Lair of the Behemoths
Or the Zendikar Rising expeditions–aka the best looking fetch lands, thanks to their alternate borders and art (and former best lands in general until AFR decided to flavor each with an adventure prompt).
The question remains–what will be in the new Crimson Vow set? Will it be a subset of cards “Expedition style” but more Dracula themed? Previously we’ve seen some incredibly Gothic land art revealed during the Innistrad Midnight Hunt sneak peak stream.
But it’s anyone’s guess, really.
What do you think lies in store?
