‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ Prequel Cast Announced – Includes Michelle Yeoh
A new series goes back into the history of the universe – back to the creation of the first Witcher.
The live-action series is set in the far-flung past and gets into the creation of the first Witcher. The prequel isn’t based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher novels; it’s all-new material. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who has worked on the original Witcher series and the upcoming Nightmare of the Wolf anime, is on as executive producer. It’s being run by Declan de Barra (The Originals) and Sapkowski is on as a consultant to make sure everything lines up properly.
The official synopsis…
“Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal in ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.”
