Warhammer 40K Next Week: Thousand Sons And Grey Knights Star In ‘Hexfire’
For a game that’s all about the grim darkness of the distant future, the newest boxed set sure does contain an awful lot of knights and wizards.
But it’s cool because they’re space knights and space wizards, and even just typing out that phrase is a sheer delight. At any rate, the newest boxed set for Warhammer 40K poses magic space knights against magic space wizards in an ultimate battle to see who gets to be the bastion of magic in the galaxy. Let’s take a look!
This new magical battlebox features a struggle for the world of Hexenfast and comes with 29 miniatures, including:
- Five Scarab Occult Terminators
- Ten Tzaangors (and upgrade sprue)
- Tzaangor Smagan
- 10 Grey Knights Purifiers (with bits for strike squad, interceptor squad, or purgation squad)
- Nemesis Dreadknight
And of course this wouldn’t be a GW battlebox if it didn’t introduce two new characters. On the Grey Knight side you have a new rendition of Castellan Crowe, while the Thousand Sons get a brand new Infernal Master
But this is just the start for folks looking to run Grey Knights or Thousand Sons. Alongside this you’ll also find two new codexes, one for each of these armies:
Codex: Grey Knights has all the rules for the 666th Chapter – including no fewer than 32 datasheets – updated for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000, as well as heaps of lore. It also contains Grey Knights Crusade rules which allow your Characters to discover and battle their own Daemon nemeses.
Codex: Thousand Sons will be available in standard hardback and a beautiful collector’s edition. This awe-inspiring book has everything you’d expect, including fully updated rules for the 41st Millennium’s premier magic users, a bespoke Crusade system, stunning artwork, and intriguing lore.
So whether you want to take up arms against a sea of daemons, or ride upon them like you’re surfing the tides of reality itself, you’ll find what you need next weekend.
All this up for pre-order next weekend
