Warhammer+ Launch Content Breakdown
Warhammer+ launches tomorrow so what exactly are you getting access to at the launch? We’ve got a breakdown to explain it.
Tomorrow is a big day for Games Workshop as they are launching their Warhammer+ service. It’s promising “More Warhammer. More Often.” And that does seem to be the case. We’ve all seen the infographic about what’s planned to come the service as well:
That said, there’s still some features we’re not 100% sure about (looking at you Warhammer: Age of Sigmar App). So with the launch literally happening in less than a day, we were wondering what features are going to be there at launch. Thankfully, GW has them listed out:
Warhammer+ goes live on Wednesday the 25th of August, so save the date. The service launches with the following content:
- Episodes 1-3 of the Warhammer animated anthology, Hammer and Bolter
- Episode 1 of the Warhammer animation Angels of Death
- Access to the Warhammer Vault
- Premium access to the Warhammer 40,000: The App
- Two episodes of Battle Report
- Two episodes of Citadel Masterclass
We got to see the Hammer and Bolter episode Old Bale Eye and it was fun. I’m looking forward to the next two episodes from them. Also, Angels of Death looks VERY stylized and I really want to check that out, too. The Warhammer 40k App is going to be great for list building and all that jazz as well. The Warhammer Vault is another one of those things that I’m curious about in terms of “how much” content will be available inside as that has the potential to be pretty amazing.
I’m also curious about the other “live” shows – bat reps and painting tips could be useful for getting a hobby fix when I can’t do it myself for whatever reason.
Anyhow, that is the content that is going to be available at launch. But that’s FAR from the only things coming down the pipe. Get ready for Warhammer+ Wednesdays:
“Every Wednesday will see new content added. The Loremasters series will also be joining the service from Wednesday the 1st of September, followed by Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App later that month.”
If you’re still not convinced, if you sign-up in August, GW is giving you a £10 (Or local equivalent) as an online voucher. A year’s subscription to Warhammer+ is £49.99/$59.99 and that’s basically £10 off. Considering everything that’s going to be available, that makes it an even better deal.
“Subscribe to Warhammer+ by Tuesday the 31st of August and in October you’ll get a £10* online voucher to spend on games-workshop.com!*
*Some terms and conditions apply. Vouchers will be issued at the start of October if you remain subscribed for a full month.”
Warhammer+ is coming tomorrow – are you going to check it out?
