Bigger, Badder Lego Batmobile Tumbler is On the Way
A new, larger version of the awesome Batmobile Tumbler from Dark Knight arrives from Lego this fall.
The Dark Knight’s armored vehicle brought in a new design era for the character. Nolan ditched the ultra long-nosed Batmobile of the Burton and Schumacher movies and brought in with something a little more practical. The Tumbler is a fantastic superhero vehicle and quickly became an iconic part of the franchise. It packs all of the gadgets of its older counterparts, but can actually take a corner going over 30mph.
This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten a kit based on the tumbler – this UCS-like version has around 200 more pieces than the retired 2014 kit and is physically larger (it’s a full 2-inches longer). This new version has a roof that opens and allows access to the seats and control panel, as well as a sturdy display stand. The Tumbler is larger than minifig scale, but it does come with a Batman and Joker from The Dark Knight for a complete fan display.
It will be available November 1st.
